General Purpose

We are searching for an IT Systems Analyst/EDI to join our growing IT team.  This is an outstanding opportunity for the right candidate to help us implement and scale the infrastructure necessary to support our employees and clients. The IT Systems Analyst/EDI is an IT team member with responsibility for corporate communications systems utilizing EDI.  This is a hands-on role requiring experience in technical programming and development for EDI related systems, and will also support our internal / external customer base with reporting, development, user training and IT support.  Additional responsibilities include system support, setup, programming, and configuration.  Experience in supporting and maintaining a Warehouse Management System (WMS) utilizing RF technology in a 24 x 7 environment is preferred.  Training is to be 1st shift and then the position will transition to a mid shift role.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Set-up new trading partners, develop mappings, review error list and enhance the EDI communications platform
  • Administer the EDI environment including RAMP EDI and hardware elements running the system
  • Work with End Users, customers and other team members to provide production support, issue resolution and training
  • Document current and future EDI environment
  • Track and manage all support and development cases in help desk software
  • Assist in supporting application installation and upgrade, including third party integration and hardware configuration
  • Design and develop reports and applications to assist users and management in performing daily functions
  • Provide support and timely resolution to technical issues for customers and internal resources on a variety of software applications and hardware platforms
  • Provides customer guidance and training on use and functionality of various services, hardware and applications provided by the company
  • Assisting in project design and problem resolution
  • Track and manage all support and development cases in help desk software
  • Assist in supporting application installation and upgrade, including third party integration and hardware configuration
  • Provides nights and weekend coverage as needed

Qualifications and Required Skills

  • A bachelor’s degree in business or information technology/computer sciences
  • EDI Administrator Skills
  • Must be able to communicate to partners for set up and development
  • Monitor disk usage as well as work with the team to maintain databases
  • Maintain mailboxes and insure that files are consumed, used files are archived, and used files are deleted once archived
  • Implement a way to track missing transactions between customers and company. Recover missing transactions
  • Design technical specs for reports which allowing users to track stuck transactions
  • Minimize manual touch points and improve automation for EDI transactions inbound or outbound
  • Years of experience in field: 2-5 years
  • Knowledge of various connectivity solutions (VAN, AS2, FTP, email)
  • Experience with the RAMP or other EDI mapping software suite
  • MS SQL 2008 a must
  • Experience with ANSI X12, XML, EDIFACT, GS1 a must
  • Transactions requirements: 810, 812, 816, 820, 846, 850, 856, 860, 864, 875, 880, 940,  943, 944, 945, 947, 990, 997
  • Intermediate level MS SQL 2008 scripting and querying, SQL job mgmt., XML, .NET, ASP
