Production Manager (5224)

Location: 5224 Gibbon Road, Charlotte

Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Production Manager with a passion for optimizing manufacturing processes and ensuring efficient production operations.   The position will be assigned to our 5224 Gibbon Road facility.  As a critical part of our manufacturing component of the business, this role will troubleshoot production issues and oversee the maintenance of production equipment.  He/she will also analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and ensure that production deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will…..

  • Analyze and evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Oversee improvements to the production workflows
  • Conduct root cause analysis for production-related problems and implement preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with production team to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage and take quality control measures to ensure that product specifications are met.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and customers to manage the supply chain and ensure timely production.
  • Maintain documentation for production processes, standard operating procedures and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with the Inventory and Production planning groups to ensure all batch records, work orders and allocated materials are available to the production teams ahead of runs.
  • Coordinate maintenance and production groups to ensure maximum production line up-time.
  • Direct production efforts to complete work orders from the production schedule.
  • Assist the line lead in reconciling all materials after the completion of a job.
  • Assist the quality representative and quality manager in completing all batch records, resolving issues and completing investigations.

Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing including processes, production systems and quality control.
  • Proficiency in process optimization.
  • Experience with basic electronic/mechanical troubleshooting including: sensors and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI)
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality and efficient production processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to make decisions in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in food manufacturing
  • Experience in white pouch, snus, or tobacco industries (desired)
  • Excellent customer relations skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Education and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience as a production engineer or equivalent.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Salary will be commensurate with experience

Expected hours: 40 per week
