Warehouse Supervisor (5224)
Location: 5224 Gibbon Road, Charlotte
Overview
The Warehouse Supervisor has general responsibility for coordinating and supervising all warehouse activities on a daily basis. Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising the receiving, warehousing, and shipping of product in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives. This position also performs all functions of a warehouse worker and has additional duties as assigned.

- Receive instructions from Warehouse Manager and/or GM
- Receive Customer requirements from office staff
- Supervise and coordinate unloading of inbound shipments, orderly stacking of product, and the picking and staging of outbound shipments in accordance with the highest levels of productivity
- Ensure that all documents relating to shipments and receipts are filled out completely and correctly by the carriers and warehouse personnel
- Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly warehouse including outside grounds
- Conduct operations in accordance with OSHA and MSDS standards
- Complete all necessary reports in a timely and accurate fashion
- Perform cycle counts as needed
- Fills in for other positions in department as necessary
- Participates in meetings
- Operate equipment in a safe manner and keeps work area clean
- Role model – including following all company policies and procedures
- Promote teamwork within all shifts and functions
- Effectively guides conflict resolution
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- Effective leadership skills as demonstrated by current or past experience
- 2 years of proven warehouse work experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Experience operating material handling equipment (Forklift, Reach Truck, Pallet Jack, Order Picker)
- Able to lift objects up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Able to perform work at heights
- Shift flexibility for training or accomplishment of work activities
- Proficient with MS products such as outlook, excel and word
- Prior experience on a Warehouse Management System
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000/year and up based on experience
Expected hours: 40 per week
